"THE LATE PRIVATE T. H. COOMBS.
Private T. H. Coombs was a son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Coombs, of Blackwood. Private Coombs, who was the first to enlist from the Blackwood district, died on Gallipoli." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 19 Aug 1916 (nla.gov.au)
