Son of John Henry and Alice Ann Moorhead; husband of Doris May Moorhead of Bendigo, Victoria
Prior to enlisting Harold had been employed by Hartley's Ltd of Bendigo and R. Raggatt also of Bendigo. References were from F.J. Every's for 4 years where he also worked. Character references were from Ashman's Man shop, and member of the council

Leading Aircraftman Harold Raymond Moorhead 59582 of Number 4 Radio Installation and Maintenance Unit (4RIMU) drowned at Morotai, Netherlands East Indies and is commemorated on the Ambon Memorial
