The details provided are taken from the book "1000 Men at War" the history of the 2nd/16th Infantry Battalion - refer to page 13. Lloyd was born at Northam WA 12th Dec 1916. prior to the war he was a truck driver of Kalgoorlie WA. He served with the 2nd/16th Inf Bn as a driver including a stint as CO's driver in the Middle East. Later, he transferred and was a member of a rifle platoon in Chaforce, when he was Killed In Action at Gona, New Guinea, 1st Dec 1942. Rest In Peace. Lest We Forget.
