Reference NAA Service Record.// Hearing the evidence of the State Coroner Office and Witnesses that the Court of Inquiry held on 30th May 1942 stated that the member:

 (Sic) Being a member of the AMF, whilst on leave, at or around 23:05 hrs on the 29th April 1942, died from a self inflicted injury , being a .455 Webley Pistol Cartridge entering his body.

The member was entitled to the following service awards:

1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, & ASM 1939-45.

Medals were issued to his NoK ( after review) in 1993.
