"Two Auburn servicemen are reported in casualty lists to have lost their lives. They are Warrant Officer W. B. Webb, killed in air operations overseas, and Gunner G. D. Noland, killed in action abroad." - from the Cumberland Argus and Fruitgrowers Advocate 08 Aug 1945 (nla.gov.au)
