HMAS KUTTABUL torpedoed by a Japanese midget submarine
JACK NUMAN was KIA when the naval depot ship, HMAS Kuttabul (a converted harbour ferry, moored at Garden Island as an accommodation vessel) was torpedoed by a Japanese midget submarine in Sydney Harbour.
He was 19 years of age.
Nineteen Australian and two British sailors were killed in the attack.
