Leonard Anthony O'Rourke served under the alias Terence Leon Anthony. He was born in St Kilda, Victoria, on 19 November 1908 (Vic BDM 1908/30466), not in Auckland, New Zealand, as listed on his attestation papers. His parents were Joseph Patrick O'Rourke and Mary Ann O'Rourke (née Sullivan). He married Katharine Mary O'Connor in Albury, New South Wales, on 23 September 1933 (1933/12944). Leonard died of malaria in New Guinea on 5 March 1942.
