Son of William and Nora Kathleen Ogilivie of Edgecliffe, NSW
Plane was Cataline A24-11 which taking off to raid Truk, Caroline Islands. It bounced about 10 times while taking off then hit the big swell forcing its wing to dig in breaking its back then sank in 100 feet of water. Only two bodies of the crew were recovered
