Son of James Edward and Mary Elizabeth Orr, of Westerhope, Newcastle-on-Tyne, England.
HE GAVE HIS LIFE FREELY
Arrived in Australia about 1928.
The parents of Corporal J. E. Orr, 2/30th Battalion, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Orr, 68 Beaumont Street, Westerhope, Newcastle-on-Tyne, have been notified of his death in Burma on October 19, 1943. He was employed at Commonwealth Steel Company, prior to his enlistment and lived at No. 3 Fern Street, Islington.
