FUNERAL
LAC PAGE
The funeral of the late LAC Frederick St. John Page, ot the RAAF, who was killed near Wagga on Monday, took place yesterday. The cortege m overt from St. John's Chapel, Baylis-street, Wagga, at 2.30 p.m. after a service conducted by the Rev. Chaplain G. F. Pyke. of the RAAF. The casket, which was draped with the Union Jack, was carried by UAC's Robinson, Saal, Yeo, Walton, Williams and Polain,  white the flower tray was carried by LAC's Savage, Daniel, Phelan and Maher. Mrs. West presided at the organ for We singing ot the hymn. 'Rock of ages' As the tender left the chapel, the bearer party and attending party formed a procession to Forsyth St., there to disperse and form up again and fallow the casket to the grave.
Interment took place In the War Cemetery, Wagga, where Chaplain Pyke again officiated. Relatives present were the bereaved father (Mr. Page, of Young), and Mr. F. Tout (uncle), of Young. Officers of  the RAAF present were the Commanding Officer (Wing Commander T. C. Curnow), F/Lt. Pank, F/Lt. Muirhead. F/O O'Sullivan, F/O Whitehead, P/O Barley, F/Sgts Bull McEwen, Walsh and Vaughan and Sgts Stewart and Barley. The bearer party was in charge of W/O Hegney. The officer  ln-charge of funeral arrangements for the RAAF was S/L Sturgeon. Among the tributes were wreaths from the Commanding Officer and Officers of No. 6 SStS, personnel of No. 6 SFTS, pupils of No. 2 squad, No. 5 SFTS; pupils of No. 1 squad. No. 5 SFTS; officer commanding and instructed, Advance Training  Squadron No. 5 SFTS: U. Flight And instructors, and Goldsbrough Mort & Co, Pty. Ltd., Young. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. J.C. McDonald, of Wagga.
