Son of William Allan Parks and Mabel Edna Parks, of Woy Woy.
AC1 Parks reported sick at Bivouac Camp, Cootamundra, on 14th April 1944, and was not showing symptoms or registering a temperature which appeared to warrant immediate admission ot the Station Sick Quarters. Later in the day his condition became worse rapidly. He was taken to Station Sick Quarters by ambulance and died within fifteen minutes of admission.
A.C.I Jack Parks, of Woy Woy, aged 19, of the R.A.A.F., died in the Cootamundra District Hospital on Friday afternoon, and was buried in the Cootamundra war cemetery on Sunday, at 1 o'clock. His father and mother were present from Woy Woy, and there are two sisters. The community sympathises with the relatives in the loss of this gallant young man who had offered his services.
