Son of Henry Rupert and Clare Parnell, of Concord West, New South Wales, Australia.

Flying-Officer Les (Mick) Parnell (23), reported missing, believed killed, in air operations over Europe. F/O Parnell was for two years a member of an R A A F Mosquito fighter squadron in England.
Leslie Rupert Parnell, late of R.A.A.F., formerly of Waverley, in the State of New South Wales, bank clerk, became missing on the 4th of December, 1943, and is for official purposes presumed dead; administration, with the will dated 14th July, 1941, annexed, was granted to the Public Trustee in and for the State of New South Wales, the attorney of Henry Rupert Carlton Parnell, in the will called Henry Rupert Parnell, the sole executor therein named, was granted on the 5th of June, 1945, for the use and benefit of the said Henry Rupert Carlton Parnell, limited until he shall apply for and obtain a grant in this State.
