Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of George Cecil Vuvian and Ada Mary PARSONS

A large circle of friends in Mackay and distriot will learn with regret of the death at Townsville of LAC Eric Norman Parsons, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Parsons. Deceased, who had his 24th birthday on Saturday, was born in Mackay. He had been a member of the RAAF for some considerable time, and took suddenly ill last Saturday week when playing cricket with an air force team of which he was a most popular member. He was taken to an air force hospital, and his parents made the journey to Townsville to be with him. He was given a military funeral yesterday, the service being attended by approximately 90 members of the Air Force and many citizens. In addition to his parents, deceased is survived by five sisters: Mesdames Ollett, Watt and McLean, and Misses Vera and Greta Parsons.
