Flight Lieutenant Frank Lawrence Parton 32589 (Pilot) and Sergeant Gordon Francis Blanch 420827 (Navigator) of Number 5 Squadron were killed when Wirraway A20-289 entered a flick stall during an A/A exercise and crashed at Mareeba in tropical north Queensland
