Biography contributed by Maurice Kissane

Arthur Robert Patterson was a Bank Officer from Kogarah. He was the youngest son of Arthur and Bessie Patterson. His family used the alliterative nickname of "Peter Patterson" to distquinish him from his father. For he too was called Arthur Patterson.

"Peter" volunteered for Aircrew. He was trained as a Bomb Airmer. He served an RAAF Lancaster which was shot down by a Ju-88 Night Fighter in 1944. The RAAF crew serving in Avro Lancaster ND364 AR-F were KIA.

His parents placed this epitah on his Commonwealth War Grave Headstone:

"PETER" LOVED YOUNGER SON OF ARTHUR AND BESSIE.
