Obituary
DRIVER ARTHUR PAUL.
A wave of gloom swept over Healesville last Saturday morning when the death of Driver Arthur Paul became known. The first soldier to leave Healesville in the present war, he was also the first returned man, being invalided home from Palestine on the first hospital ship. He was attached to the Sixth Division Ammunition Company. The deceased soldier looked very fit since his return, and even on Saturday morning was talking to his wife when he collapsed in bed, and died.
Driver Paul, who was aged 38 years, had been at Healesville for a long time, and had been employed by the Metropolitan Board of Works for 12 years, in which position he was held in high esteem for his integrity and honesty. He was a respected citizen, and at one time was one of the town's leading footballers. He leaves a wife and family of six, all highly respected, to mourn their loss. He was a brother of Mrs. Ron. Furmston, and has two brothers in the A.I.F.
