    Son of John and Edna May Pope nee Wilson, of Coburg, Victoria, Australia.

    GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS THAT HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE

    Lawrence was held by the Japenese in Thailand where he died on 10 Nov 1943, he was 26 yrs old.

    Survived by his parents, sisters Mrs Iris Herbert,  Mrs Esme Butcher and brothers George, Stewart, Douglas and Alan.
