SOLDIER KILLED IN MOTOR

BRISBANE, Jan. 16.-In a collision between a newspaper truck and a motor-cycle at Ipswlch-road, ;South Brisbane, early this morning, an Australian soldier, Norman Edward Pope (24) married of Moorooka, was killed and another soldier, Leon ard Franecis Guy (25) single of Doomben, injured Alfred Cooper (58) truck driver was charged in the police court later with the unlawful killing of Pope. He was remanded to January 23. Bail was allowed.
