Son of Frank Forbes Potts and Beatrice Gertrude Potts, of Taree, New South Wales.

Notification has been received of the death of Flying-Officer Peter Potts, son of Mr. P. P. Potts a retired police magistrate, at one time stationed at Newcastle. Flying-Officer Potts,  who was captain of a Beaufort bomber, is reported to have lost his life in air operations not far from Australia. He enlisted from Taree, where his Parents are now living. Flying-Officer Potts was born in Sydney and educated at Broughton Grammar School in Newcastle and at Taree High School. He learnt to fly with the Newcastle Aero Club. He was believed to have been one of the youngest instructors in the Commonwealth. He is survived by his parents and two sisters Mrs Latham, wife of the Rector of St. John's, Taree (the Rev. W Latham), and Mrs. Flett, wife of Corporal F. Flett.
