Private Frank Reddie of Tatura, Victoria, joined the AIF in November 1939 and sailed in March 1940. Aged 32 years he had lived all his life in Tatura and for many years was on the staff of the Guardian newspaper where he served his apprenticeship. He was captain and coach of Tatura Football Club and was one of the outstanding centre men of Goulburn Valley League. He was also a member of the cricket club.

Son of Walter William and Sarah Jane Reddie, of Tatura, Victoria, Australia.
