Mrs. T. Rice, daughter of Mr. D. Sonter, of 25 Villiers street, Grafton, has received word that her husband, Pte. Thomas Walter Carlyle Rice, previously reported prisoner of war, is now reported to have died of illness on August 2, 1945, while prisoner of war in Siam. Mrs. Rice's son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David Rice, arrived at Grafton yesterday. – The Daily Examiner, Grafton, issue dated Saturday November 24, 1945.
