Son of Carl John Rickards and Florence Mary nee Trott.
HIS DUTY FEARLESSLY AND NOBLY DONE EVER REMEMBERED
Married Annie(Ann) Lena Clark 9/7/1941 of Rosalie, Qld.
Two brothers served during WW2 - Cecil Arthur King Q209219, a half brother served with 12th Battalion Defence Corps and Harry Reginald Rickards QX32976.
Survived by his wife Ann and son Dennis, father and two brothers.
RICKARDS.— In proud & loving memory of QX20320, J. N. (John) Rickards, who died whilst P.O.W. in Malaya, June 5th. 1943.
His life was a noble sacrifice.
His heart was true and lender;
He gave his life for those he loved,
Then left them to remember.
