Sergeant Raymond Alexander Ridgway 421392 (Pilot) was killed when Fairchild Cornell FH659 of Number 2 Flying Instrument School RCAF crashed seven miles west of Barons in Alberta, Canada
The aircraft was carrying out a test flight following a major inspection. It struck the ground at high speed and broke up on impact.
Also killed was LAC William Gordon Koehler R/155628 RCAF (Aero Engine Mechanic)
