On the 11 Apr 1942 AT221 from 455 Sqn (UB-D) RAAF crashed on the South bank of the Rhine, 11 kms South of Neuss. All the crew were killed and initially buried at Sturzelberg. They are now buried in the Rheinberg War cemetery, Germany
