Son of William and Helen May Roberts

Husband of Alberta Lorraine Roberts of Collingwood, Victoria

LAC Roberts was a Ground Crewman (Electrician) employed at Number 1 Service Flying Training School at RAAF Base Point Cook, Victoria

At the time of his death he was securing a misplaced wheel chock when he was struck by the port side propeller of Oxford aircraft R6184 as the engine was started, he moved under the aircraft fuselage in the blind spot of the aircraft’s pilot.  He was taken to Number 6 RAAF Hospital but died from his injuries.
