His parents were George Adam SCHNEIDER & Agnes Isabel GOULDSMITH who married in Victoria in 1922

His brother was also in the Navy during WW2

Kenneth John SCHNEIDER (SN 4783) discharged 12th August, 1942 - Able Seaman with HMAS Lonsdale

His father George Adam SCHNEIDER (SN 3371) served in the Army during WW1 and was discharged on 4th July, 1919
