Onslow Harold Maxwell SHEPHERD was born in Nowra in NSW on 16th April, 1918
His parents were Richard SHEPHERD & Elizabeth Jane HANNIGAN who married in Nowra on 5th March, 1890

His brother James Glenville SHEPHERD (SN 1284) served during WW1 in the 30th Infantry Battalion and also had previous service in the 5th Light Horse Regiment (CMF) - he was discharged on 15th March, 1917 as medically unfit
