Son of Jack and Hilda Victoria (Puckey) Silver, husband of Olive Elsie (Patterson) Silver, of East Preston.
He is commemorated on the Community Roll of Honour in Preston Vic, also his name is located at panel 79 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
