Son of John SMITH and Grace Evelyn nee REDMAN; husband of Bernice Eileen SMITH nee COOKE, of Prosperpine, Queensland, Australia.
HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR HIS COUNTRY
On 20th January 1943, a grave was found with not cross. No disc could be found & paybook was unreadable. On an identification card can be seen "In case of accident or serious illness pleas notify Mrs. R.J. Smith. This was how his body was identified.
