James Lancely SNADDEN was born on 16th September, 1916 in Nelson, New Zealand

His parents were Michael SNADDEN & Rose Thirza LANCELY who married in New Zealand in 1912

He enlisted on 10th June, 1941 in Ringwood, Victoria and was with the Australian Army Labour Service (ACMF), 24 Employment & Works Company

James died of Illness on 17th March, 1944 in Victoria and is buried in the Springvale War Cemetery

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the Roll of Honour at Hope, Nelson, New Zealand
