Flying Officer Spalding 404516 of 13 Operational Training Unit / 60 Squadron RAF was seriously injured when the civil Tiger Moth he hired from the local flying club on the 25th of April 1942 crashed in Lahore, India

The aircraft was flying over Lahore doing low level aerobatics when it struck a building and crashed.  Flying Officer Spalding died the next day in hospital
