Parents: - Albert Matthew Studders and Mary Elizabeth Langenbaker married 22nd February 1911 in Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia.

Fate: - Court of Enquiry convened Kelvin Grove, Brisbane ascertain that Private Gordon William Studders died as a result of injuries received by a fall from a horse whilst riding as a jockey in a race, namely "The Hazeldeen Newmarket Event" at the Hazeldeen Race Course, Kilcoy.

Private Gordon William Studders was on leave at the time of the accident, his injuries were brought about by the mare he was riding (Kitty Carrington) striking the 4th furlong post with her left shoulder unseating the jockey and throwing him headling into the ground. He later died at the Kilcoy District Hospital. Medical Certificate states cause of death as massive cerebral haemorrhage, fractured skull and extensive depressed fracture to the left temporal, frontal bone.
