He was 21 and served on H.M.A.S. Napier - Royal Australian Navy.
His brother, Lieutenant Ian Thomas Roy Treloar aged 22,also died on service with the Royal Australian Navy-H.M.A.S. Sydney.
They were sons of Harry Roy and Gladys Rita Treloar, of Surrey Hills, Victoria, Australia.
Both are commemorated on the PLYMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL
