Son of Ernest and Cecilia Turner; husband of Helen Josephine Turner, of Griffith, New South Wales.
Cpl. Turner was on of over 2,000 Allied prisoners of war transferred from Changi on 7 July 1942 to Sandakan POW camp in the north of Borneo. He died there on 18th June 1945 and is commemorated on the Labuan Memorial Panel 12.
