Son of William and Isabella Janet (Hamilton) Underwood, of Timboon.
Lex married Kathleen Martha Louisa Hamilton in 1935
He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in Timboon Vic, also his name is located at panel 14 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
