Stacey Cuthbert VON ALWYN was born in Latrobe, Tasmania on 19th September, 1908

His parents were John Alexander VON ALWYN & Ethel Maud Mary DUNN

He married Constance Mary FUNSTON in St Marys Cathedral in Hobart on 3rd December, 1927 - one son John Edward Stacey VON ALWYN

He had previously served for 8 years with the 12/50 Battalion in Launceston before he enlisted in Hobart on 20th June 1940 to serve in the Air Force during WW2

Stacey died in hospital after surgery for appendicitis on 9th January, 1943
