Privately Cremated An urn containing the ashes of Shirley Waddington was deposited in a cavity which had been made in the wall of the Baptist Church in Devonport, TAS near the seat which she used to occupy. Sergeant Shirley Waddington 92033 of the Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force died of illness while working at Allied Air Force HQ - RAAF Command (WAAAF)
She was cremated at Mt Thompson Crematorium and her service is commemorated on the Queensland Cremation Memorial, Brisbane
