Pilot Officer John Edwin Francis Wall 412286 was killed when Marauder 118017 ["Devil's Playmate"] of 14 Squadron RAF crashed in the Adriatic Sea following a reconnaissance flight over the Gulf of Venice & Ancona - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Malta Memorial
