An Australian Army Jeep was involved in an accident on Cumbia road about nine miles from Kingaroy.  Three personnel were killed - the driver, Sergeant Leslie Thomas Stout NX36129 Aircraftwoman Dorothy May Ward 94232 WAAAF and Aircraftman James Hope Paynter 425961 RAAF (admitted to Kingaroy hospital but died from his injuries the same day)
