Flying Officer Watson 411417 of Number 6 Service Flying Training School was killed in the loss of Avro Anson AW849 which crashed 5 miles west of Tantanoola, South Australia - two other airmen on board survived:
Sergeant John Harding Carroll 416243 DFC (discharged November 1945 with the rank of Flying Officer - 21OTU)
Sergeant Richard Leonidas Ayres 409014 (discharged January 1946 with the rank of Flying Officer - 12SQN)
