Flight Sergeant Webb 420316 of HQ RAF Desert Air Force was killed when Kittyhawk III FR843 crashed at Canne landing ground in the Foggia region of Italy - he was on a delivery flight when the aircraft stalled on approach to the runway due to engine failure
