Son of John Lennox Willox and Mabel Stead Willox; husband of Lucy Mary Willox (later known as Lucy Kauter of Bega, NSW) of East Malvern, Victoria
Plane was Hampden P5328 which took off at 17.16 hours from Skellingthorpe in satisfactory weather to lay mines off La Rochelle. The weather was poor over the operational area and the plane was diverted to Upper Heyford but crashed at approximatley 0.100 hours near Thame, Oxfordingshire
