Son of Harold Royce Wilmot and Hilda Annie Wilmot of Canberra, ACT
Plane was Mosquito 11 DD678 which crashed at Shawbury, Shropshire, UK. At the time Peter was practicing formation flying with another aircraft. Having completed this exercise he then proceeded to practice steep turns during which his plane went into a spin and crashed out of control
