Charles Archibald Frederick WITZERMAN was born in Bridgewater in Tasmania on 15th June 1918

His parents were Harold Frederick George WITZERMAN & Vera Sylvia CARMAN who married in Bridgewater on 14th August, 1916

He married Sheila Noreen CAREY in the Methodist Ladies College in Burwood, NSW on 2nd April, 1941

His father Harold Frederick George WITZERMAN (SN 1658) served in the 12th Infantry Battalion during WW1 and returned to Australia on 31st October, 1915
