Three Leading Aircraftmen (LACs) of Number 1 Service Flying Training School at Point Cook (1SFTS) were drowned when their dinghy went missing between Point Cook and Altona - Geoffrey Reginald Dean 408057 (Springvale Crematorium) / Leslie Newman-Samuel Wright 406158 (Sydney Memorial) / Harold Leslie Parry 406059 (Footscray Cemetery)
