Flight Lieutenant George Wesley Young 284454 of 85 Wing Headquarters was severely injured in a Motor Vehicle Accident at Noonamah, NT and died at the 107th AGH

Biography
The death occured on June 28 of Flt. Lt. George Wesley Young as a result of injuries received in a motor accident in Darwin. Before enlisting in the RAAF in February 1942, Flt. Lt. Young was a prominent figure in Adelaide business circles having been for many years manager in Adelaide for Nestle and Anglo Swiss Condensed Milk Co. (Australasia) Ltd.
He was a keen golfer and a member of the the Kooyonga Golf Club and also took a prominent part in the affairs of Adelaide Rotary Club.
Flt. Lt. Young served in the RAAF in New Guinea and on the Australian mainland. At the time of his death he was oted at Darwin.
He was educated at Trinity Grammar School Kew and Scotch Colleges Melbourne where he was a prominent athlete and represented his college in the football team for two years.
