Reginald Belmore COX was born in Mudgee, New South Wales in 1869

His parents were George Henry COX and Henrietta Jane COX who married in Mudgee on 22st June 1853 - they had 5 sons & 7 daughters

He died in the Port Adelaide Casualty Hospital en route to South Africa when he was put ashore from the ship Surrey suffering from pneumonia

His funeral was held in St Pauls Church in Adelaide, SA and then his body was transported to NSW for burial in the Anglican Section of the Mudgee General Cemetery - he was given a full Military Funeral

Reginalds name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Mudgee South African War Rotunda Memorial
