Alfred EBSWORTH was born on 2nd August, 1872 in Bathurst, NSW

His parents were Edward Stanley EBSWORTH and Eliza MITCHELL who married in Sydney on 10th May, 1856

He embarked from Newcastle on 14th November, 1899 on the ship Langton Grange

He died on 24th July, 1900 - there is a memorial tablet in St Marys Church of England in Waverley, Sydney with his name & also at the South African Boer War Memorial at Belltrees (see photo on link)
