John Houlihan was a Blacksmith who lived with his mum. Their family home was in Collingwood. John served as a Farrier Sergeant. He was one of 18 NCO's and men KIA in the 5VMR Wilmansrust debacle on 12 June 1901. Their Surgeon, LT Herbert Palmer 5VMR was likewise KIA. Lest We Forget.
