John Campbell Duncan McPherson SWAN was born in Purnim, Victoria in 1877
His parents were John SWAN & Jane CAMPBELL
He embarked on the SS Eurydus on 10th March, 1900 with the 3rd Victorian Bushmen
John died on 28th May, 1900 at Umtali and is buried in Paradise Cemetery in Zimbagwee
He was awarded the Queens South Africa Medal with Rhodesia clasp
